Yarra reporter writing workshop and what you missed.

I was invited by Su Chai of Chai Junction to attend this workshop. Actually we all were.

It was held at the Fitzroy library as part of a new collective that the City of Yarra and Infoexchange are starting this year. Their aim to get people into writing and learning about making their writing better.

The program also aims to teach International students as well as locals about better English, writing and confidence.

The first session was on writing passionately. Passion is the key to successful writing and blogging. The print media is slowly dying due to all the blogs. Hence there isn't much need for print media. As a reader I hate blogs with just pictures and no words as they don't really say what they are thinking.

These days most blogs are professional. These days not many bloggers have good English. Many of them are students learning how to write and learning about the world. To be a good blogger you need to engage with people successfully.

The next Yarra Reporter session is on the 12th of April at 11am and you can sign up here.
