Bratwurst is a type of German sausage. You can have it mild, spicy or hot. A great way to eat it is in a German hot dog ($7.80 at the Queen Victoria Market's Bratwurst shop. It is also sold at other markets and maybe restaurants around Melbourne). Here it comes with Saukeraut (Pickled cabbage thinly shredded), mustard (American, English, Djoinaise etc- your choice), sauce (tomato, hot chilli, ketchup, sweet chilli etc- your choice), more onions and cheese.
Here's a picture of a yummy bratwurst. We, the Melburnians like eating bratwurst especially in winter. This is bought from the Vic Market's Bratwurst shop.
Don't know why you paid $7.60.
ReplyDeleteI went and it was only $5.50. Mind had onion and the sausage.
I had extras. You must have bought yours from the other shop that sells them at the market
ReplyDeletealso prices have gone up by an extra dollar or so. A couple of years ago it was $5.50. But because of the drought and other happenings prices have risen
