Flavour Exchange

The Flavour Exchange is on once every season and that's at the beginning of the month. This festival is about trying new seasonal foods and boutique wines.

This ticket was bought using Eat and Be Merry's code which is a 2 for 1 deal. So we both went to this festival knowing that the trains were on strike that day.

Coleslaw taster from the Yarra Valley for 1 token

Crackers for 1 token

Beer on sale

Sofi drinks

Paella for 1 token

Cheese naan for one token

Lemon Meringue sampler

Sliders and pannacotta (left)

Popcorn

The festival was at the Attrium. Tickets were $33 online and $38 at the door but it included a wine glass to take home and lots of samples. The ticket also included 14 tasting tokens which is used to buy food. If you wanted extra tokens it is an extra $14 per bundle. The tokens come in bundles. There was also good, boutique wines there too advertising their wares at 5 tokens for one glass. At 5pm there were a lot of people but by 7:30pm the crowd died down.

There were no soft drinks except for mineral water.

Here everyone was enjoying the sliders from Radii. They were 2 for 5 tokens with a pannacotta dessert thrown in. I wished they could have some vegetarian sliders for the vegetarians but oh well I enjoyed the meat just as well. I also had the corn chips for $3 with a lovely capisicum dip from another stall. I think the crisps are from La Tortilleria.

We also enjoyed other tasters for 1 token each such as the Yarra Valley pasta and the Brussel sprouts and Curry leaf's cheese naan. The butter chicken was nice but cold.

There was a paella stall which did a small serve for $5 and a large for $14. Seeing as it was nearly 8pm and I didn't want to eat too many calories before bed I had the small chicken one. It was divine.

Last but not least was sorbet from the Yarra Valley. It was just sensational

The plus ones, if you are going next time can you please invite me and Brenton as I am sure we will have a good time during the summer tasting all the goodies. Students do go to the summer one as I am sure they will be divine as this.
