5 Plus smoothie

As part of RNIS healthy living month
As part of Bupa's best blog competition for 2015

5 Plus smoothie is a health food and drink place. I went there twice. They make their smoothies fresh using almond milk. A regular is $7.50. You order and pay and then they call out your number when it is ready.

Although the store is small it is quite relaxed. I loved looking at all the terrariums.

Both times my smoothie was ready in five minutes. But the second time I went there was at 11am and it wasn't busy. The first time I went it was packed full of office workers on their lunch break.

I had one of their green smoothies and it was yum. It was like having a liquid meal. This one was very minty. In it contained spinach, bananas and dates.

Then the second time I had the peanut butter and it was very sweet from all the dates and bananas in there. It was like having brunch without the coffee. But it also contained oats and their homemade peanut butter which you can buy in a jar for $6.

Rating: 15/20- you'll definitely get more vitamins and minerals into your body just by one smoothie per day. No more excuses about skipping breakfast either as they are open quite early in the morning from 8am.

Good for city folk and students who have 8:30am lectures.
