Crazy Wings has been around for a while and the first time that I have been to Crazy Wings was with Meld and Arrow on their amazing race day where we all had to eat skewers. Only I had vegetarian noodles.
Not much has changed since then. It is still the same old wings but with some new unhappy staff and some who does not know much about hygiene. The floors were all sticky. A waitress dropped a can of lemonade on the floor and offered it to another customer. Luckily it had not opened. The chef sneezed in the open kitchen where everyone can see him and he also wiped his hand on his nose.
The staff barely speak English. Rather they spoke in Cantonese a tongue which I can not understand. But there is a paper ordering system where you write down how many of each skewer that you want and the waitress collects it from you.
Food comes within ten minutes, steaming hot from the grill and it is very spicy. So if you can't stand the spice then don't come here. Its a good idea not to order the noodles unless you can share it as one table could not finish them. Last time I could not finish them either.
But however I did love the mantou (steamed breads- $1.5 for two breads on one skewer), the potatoes ($2.5 for three) and the fish tofu ($1.50 for one). They also have specials such as the $1 yellow fish skewer, which by the way has bones in it. If you order a certain skewer on a certain day then it is two for the price of one.
If you are dining alone then its best to order rice instead of noodles. Then it would feed only one for $2.50.
Do come for the cheap food. Don't expect good hygiene and service as staff barely speak English there. In fact they are unhappy and probably underpaid uni kids.
I would only come if I was desperate for a cheap feed
