Melbourne Now and Open table lunch

Open table is a not for profit organization that serves healthy food to the Fitzroy/Collingwood community and as a part of Melbourne now they came to the NGV gallery for one day.

Their food is from Secondbite which always uses the produce that the supermarkets and green groccers do not sell.

Preparing food

I took some limes home with me that day as they were free to take

The volunteers are lovely and hospitable and they do not bite.

Melbourne Now is a free exhibition showing all things Melbourne until Sunday. There were 600 free events over summer. At Melbourne Now there were many aspects from a movie about laneways in Melbourne to having your say about the city via the iPad system which was rather slow.

The waistcoat

Shoes were showcased on the third floor as well as a lovely embroidered waistcoat. Jewellery was also showcased outside the galleries.

The exhibition showcases Melbourne's arts and culture scene which is varied. It showcases Melbourne as a creative city.

Do see if now before it ends on Sunday. This is a free show at the National Gallery of Victoria.
