TAG day

As part of our "At home and Abroad" series
TAG day was an event thought of by Meld Magazine and Arrow on Swanston. The event took place at Arrow on Swanston's Champion ballroom. This day was just like high school where we learnt many skills from Okomyaki (Japanese pancake) to culture and making terrariums (plants in a jar).

Students had to select four classes out of the 20 classes on offer.

Students had to pay $8 for a whole day's worth of classes and activities such as cupcake decorating. Sorry about the picture I wasn't perfect at decorating the cupcake. My hand was so shaky as the piping bag was heavy.

The food making classes were well received as students learnt how to make pancakes and wontons. At the end students sampled these.

Here we were also treated to free lunch; Japanese pancake for the vegetarians and Nasi lemak for the others.

There were other sights on offer.

There were quite a few team building activities in the last class- How to never lose, which was run by a Canadian.  Here we did the crawling activity.

Many thanks to Arrow and to Meld for putting this on for students and I hope you will do the same thing the next semester.
