Red Berry Cafe

Red Berry Cafe is a cafe at Preston Market. Here it only opened on the days that the Market is open.
It is run by Greek people and they claim that they are the best barista in town. Well it is maybe what Preston needs, but it certainly wasn't the best coffee place in Melbourne. They used Beraldo's coffee beans which are not exactly the best ones. It tasted a little like dishwashing powder.
There were a few elderly people there and the staff treated them nicely. The lady there wasn't too bad with me.
My greek coffee was $3 and it came in a cute cup. But all the coffee granules sat at the bottom, rather than being mixed in. It came about five minutes after the pancakes which was weird.

They have quite a few breakfast specials most of which are under $6. Here I had the lovely fluffy pancakes for $4.50. It comes with your choice of maple syrup, lemon and sugar or jam and cream and two scoops of ice cream.
The two scoops of ice cream were a bit small and melted a bit on the pancake. If they put it in a separate bowl that would be much better. But I did like the tang of lemon on my pancakes. Some people might find this a little too much but I didn't.

To all the students in Bundoora or that live near the Preston station this is a good find for breakfast, not so for coffee.
