Sambal Kampung

Sambal Kampung is a Malaysian and Chinese restaurant. There are two branches in the city, one in Collins st and the other is in Chinatown.

I went to the one on Lt Collins st for dinner as that one is close to my class.
Here there were not that many people for dinner but lunchtime its pretty busy.

Service was fast and friendly.

Here they specialise in the roti canai as I had last Sunday. It was fluffy and oily, just the way that I like it.

I also had their  nasi lemak with ith beef rendang. The beef was a little bit overcooked for me as I found it to be a bit tough. Also there was a huge mound of rice and lots of sambal. The sambal was a little bit too spicy. But I did like the egg and the anchovies.

I enjoyed their roti as always as it is fluffy and light. And oh so many calories. But it was good for after a run though.
Rating: 15/20- cheap winter comfort. Make sure to wear your stretchy pants as you'll be quite full afterwards.
