The South Melbourne Pie shop

South Melbourne Market has a new Pie shop which has been open for a few months now.

I went to this store during Market week. Market week is a week which runs in early September to celebrate spring and all things food in Melbourne. During Market week there are many exciting tasting events in store as well as other free events and tours.

Every year I participate during the week.

Now back to the pies.

They don't have dine in but there are a few seats in the food court where you can sit and enjoy your pie. Here they specialise in meat pies. And although there isn't someone to watch the front counter they do have a bell. The store is only small enough to fit one or two workers.

The place is cash only and the sauces are free. But I didn't need any since my pie is flavourful enough without it. I had a vegetarian pie which had potato and cheese inside it. The pies are priced between $5 and $6 for an individual lunchtime one to $20 for a family one.

You can choose to get this heated up or you can take it home to eat with a salad.

This is the best pie that Melbourne has to offer so far and I hope that all the bloggers go there and try this place. I also hope that this new place stays for a long time.
