RNIS was invited as guests of the City of Melbourne
The Designer Runaways are priced between $35-$45 and for the lucky ones includes a showbag.
But most missed out :(. There is a VIP Lounge where there was champagne and drinks being served but we had to pay extra
It is all about spring and the long days and the balmy nights. We saw a sea of white and grey and orange. The models were classy and casual. Some were comfortable in heels many not so.
Clogs are making a comeback for spring with the models from Life with Bird wearing them. Patterns however are not in but bold prints are making another comeback. That and the short dresses.
Purple and black made an impact on stage.
Most of the models however looked a little unhappy. I think they were all volunteer models as there was a casting call in late August. But still they looked beautiful with their makeup done by Mecca Cosmetics and their hair done by Kevin Murphy. Natural soft and silky hair is popular this spring and works well with white.
I also loved seeing the rectangles move and change colour. Whoever designed the stage did an awesome job.
Many thanks to the City of Melbourne for the invite.
