The Good Neighbour Night Market

As told by RMIT Newintstudents

The Night Market was on 6th of July and we were invited to attend. So far the Good Neighbourhood month has treated everyone well with the launch party. But not many students know about the month itself and the neighbourhood dinners.

Everything there was priced under $20 with most of the sales going towards the Urbanseed cafe. Here a lot of clothing and other items were sold on the night. There was a frenzy around the clothing market as everyone wanted a new dress, shoes or a new outfit. Sadly there was no room for them to try on the outfits.

But for those that were hungry there was Aunty Khoo's Nasi Lemak for $5. It was a small snack size and people could take it home if they wanted to. There was satays for those that felt like a BBQ on this cold and wet day. And the drink stall had yummy homemade barley drinks for $2.

All in all it was a good night out. The only problem is that everything is cash only and there isn't an ATM around except for RMIT and Melbourne Central ( a couple of blocks away). The next time that they organize this there should be a temporary ATM (think the Newport farmers market that had one)
