Queer Department are the ones that organize all the fun activities and gay friendly things. They also talk about gay stuff and lesbian things. Its not easy for students to come out, especially International ones in fear of their parents and peers.
The Queer Department has a lounge and at that lounge you can talk about anything and the people there are all so friendly.
At each uni there are three officers all of which are elected by the students. There are three students in a team, one of which is female.
But did you know that they also talk about sexual things and have workshops on these for students. They sometimes do campaigns to make uni life more comfortable for everyone. Such things may be to have gender neutral bathrooms.
Sometimes you may be bullied in class by a lecturer or a student who is not gay. Universities have policies on bullying and if you find that you are being treated unfairly and you are gay then you should speak to your Queer Department.
