Hometown Asian grocer

This has been around for a few years but the Newintstudents team hasn't had a chance to visit this Asian grocer store which is a student favourite in Melbourne. We explore this Asian Grocery.

This Asian grocery is on Elizabeth st on the 19, 57 and 59 tram routes so it is an easy tram ride from the college houses. It is also an easy walk from some places (that's if you are brave enough to brave the cold).
Japanese candy

Pork Bun

The first Asian shop to offer this type of meat

Here they everything on offer for the students. Like the Great Eastern they have a huge amount of goods and lots of Japanese goods as well as Chinese goods. But this store has some Japanese candy.

I had a small waffle for $2.50 which was moist and yum.

The other day I bought noodles for $2 there. It was the Nissan type.

Students if you don't want to go far and you have classes at RMIT then do go here. They support many student groups. They have recently supported Meld Magazine in their little book of discounts.

I heard that they are going to have a new store in A Beckett st in August this year.
