Ricky's cafe

Ricky's cafe is a new cafe in South Melbourne. It is about one month old. Not many people know about them. It is a short walk from South Melbourne Market and the number 96 tram.

I had bought the Groupon for them. It was $10 for a coffee and breakfast ($21 value). Or juice if you wanted.

At 11am they didn't have much on show. They only had one sorry little salad ready.

I had a machiato and the scrambled eggs special which came with capsicum and feta. Well a little too much feta. I wanted to try something a little bit different to the usual suspects.

The machiato was a little bit burnt and it wasn't frothed properly. It didn't have the artwork on top. It was just messy.

The scrambled eggs was great with the Jalepinos. The sweetness of the capsicium made the dish great. The eggs was ok and the bread was soggy underneath. The bread was white bread.

I really wanted to try the cakes but I was just too full.

Verdict: No it wasn't the greatest. Its just another Aussie cafe. It might be better just as a juice bar. Lets just give them a few more months.

Btw: what happened to the Emma and Tom's juices? I noticed there was a sign up there but no juices.
