Drinking tea @ Chatime Melbourne Central by Claudia

Chatime is a tea store chain which started in Malaysia and is popular with the students and workers in Melbourne. There are store in Sydney and Brisbane as well.

Love the lettering on the window.

Love the photo of China

My tea which is on a stone table. It may look like its on the floor but its not.

This one is really close to RMIT and they have a good selection of teas. They also have great promotions, but they aren't a member of the city discount scheme. For now they do have the red packet promotion which is a lucky dip.

The customer service was only so so. Mostly international students work there hence there are many unhappy faces. Also I noticed that there is a lot of rubbish on the tables out the back, never out the front.

The teas were not too sweet and not too icy. You can choose your level of sweetness and iciness which is great. Not many places do that. I bought a regular pomegranate tea for $5 and added topping for $0.30. It had heaps of flavour from the pomegranate, but not enough from the green tea.

Verdict: Now if I were to choose between this one and the one on campus, I'd choose this one. I'm glad they got rid of Easyway on Swanston st.
