Accoustic session and party by Katherine

I was invited by AFIS and the City of Melbourne to come to this event, hence this is a sponsored post. All the thoughts are my own.

The event took place in the South Melbourne Commons which is an old building in a side of South Melbourne which I have never been to. It is about a five minute walk from the 96 tram, but I later discovered that it is a one minute walk from the bus stop on City Road.

It was a cold wintry Friday night. It was dark. So dark that I could not see the street names. So I got lost somehow. But somehow due to my trusty ole Android I managed to find it.

And there it was next to a church.

Inside it was nice and warm. Inside I was blown away by the music.

About 70 students turned up for the food but after dinner it was just a small group of us that stayed.

There was free food and the chance to mingle with other students. The aim of this event is to bring students together- local and International. This is what AFIS ( Australian Federation of International students) wanted. AFIS was there promoting their Information day as well as the volunteer night on the 3.9.2013 at the Couch.

Thanks AFIS and the City of Melbourne for this event
