week 11

This week is all about study and the fair trade fortnight. On Wednesday this week there is the "Commune festival at Brunswick campus where there will be free food, fun, stalls and talks about sustainability. Brunswick campus is just a short train ride from the city campus. Catch the Upfield line and get off at Jewell Station. Brunswick campus is right in front of it.
There will be the start of the end of exams party tickets sold at the City campus cafeteria. I'm not sure about the other campus because I don't study there. But there will be some in the City campus. These are sold by some of the student union's clubs such as MET.
There is also going to be a camp run by the RMIT Asian Association and places are still available, but limited. This will be at the end of June. If you have access to Facebook you could enquire about places. Do this now rather than later, otherwise they will be sold out.
The nights here have been really cold, so make sure that you rug up, but they are bound to get a little bit warmer. Eat lots and lots of fresh fruit and veggies and you will go a long way. Right now pears are in season at $1.48 per kg. Apples can cost anywhere between $3-$5 per kg. Also soup is on special for $0.94 per Continental packet of two.
This is the week to get your Special Consideration application in if you think that you will need it. Anytime before the exam is a good time. And having a cold or period pain is not a good enough reason as determined by the University to have Special Consideration.
See you at the Brunswick Commune festival
X Sal
