The Duke and Dimmi

The Duke is a newish pub that just opened last year. It is near the MCG. It is opened for breakfast as well as dinner.

I booked the restaurant online with Dimmi. Dimmi is an online restaurant booking system that is easy to use. You can only book for up to four people on this system. For every booking you make you earn about 1000 points. Every review you make also gets you 1000 points and if you earned 8000 points and over you get a free meal.
Logging in is easy and they have a mobile phone app as well.

I didn't know whether they were opened on Sundays or not and I thought that they might be a bit busier than usual given that it is the footy season and there is match being played at the MCG.

It  turns out that they were and they were busy with all the footy fans. They go for the Demons and if you are a Demons fan and they won then you get some sort of special reward.

Because I came after 7:30pm and was still full from Meatballs and Sons I thought I'd just settle on a green tea and salmon with veggies. I had a look at the other meals and they looked heavy as.

They have two bars which is really confusing and they almost lost my order. Luckily I reminded them and paid.

The bathrooms are spacious and out the back.
I love the quirky sign on the bathroom door

The salmon dish ($27) came with potato mash, ksuandi sauce and bok choy. It looked really small when it came to the table but was moreish. The salmon was microwaved as it came in five minutes. Others had to wait ages for theirs, especially the people with burgers. It turns out that apparently they had run out of stuff (and eventually seats). Thank god I booked mine.

They had also run out of Carlton Draught beer which people were trying to get.

The potato mash was good but it was a little bit cold though. I think this too had been microwaved.

The green tea was alright, not the best, but oh well at least it was free as it was a part of the 25% Entertainment book discount.

Verdict: I'd book again through Dimmi but not so much visit the Duke again. Apparently everyone else on Urbanspoon disliked it. Oh well they still have a lot to learn seeing as they had been opened for a few months now.

Editors note: The Duke is offering Entertainment members 25% off the total bill. You can buy your membership through our page.
