Checks and Spots Garden Party

The girls from Checks and Spots and Lettuce and Co sure knew how to throw an awesome party and they did. They did this for a charity called the "St Kilda Mums". The St Kilda mums provides for mum that can't afford the basics for their babies such as postgraduate students, teenage mums and women who have just escaped from Domestic Violence. They are always on the hunt for more volunteers. Right now they have 300-400 people helping out.

They would always love more donations of cots, prams and baby stuff for the new mums.

It was $20 to get in, but the money went to the St Kilda Mums. Out of today's event they raised over $1000.

The party was held on a nice sunny spring afternoon in the Royal Botanical Gardens. I caught the tram to this lovely spot.

Here there was fantastic food and I really enjoyed the icy poles from Pop and Co which have just started their business.

The sweets were also fantastic as well as the non alcoholic punch which featured the Appletiser drink and lots of lime, lemon and apple.

I loved sitting out in the sunlight.

Many thanks to the girls at Checks and Spots and Lettuce and Co for organising this. It was lovely to catch up with all of you.

The charity  is at 5 Vale St in St Kilda and they are only opened at certain times. Best to email the St Kilda Mums before donating your items or time. Their website is here.
