Calatrava by Katherine

Calatrava is one of my favourite spots in Southbank to go to. It is in Crown Casino.
It is where all the tourists go.

They serve Italian cakes, coffees and desserts at Crown for Premium prices which I guess covers the rent.

Here I was served by a rather unhappy "Indian". My guess is that he is a uni student who doesn't get paid much for working at Crown. One of my friends used to work at Crown but he quit after a few months.

There were heaps of International students there all deciding on the flavour. So I was influenced to get sorbet which is a lighter more cordial like type of Italian ice cream.

The bathrooms are inside but you'd probably take ages to find one as there are no signs anywhere. And you'd discovered that its on the carpark level.

They had 2 scoops of Ice cream for $6.90.

I had two scoops of sorbet (one: Lemon and two: Blood Orange). I loved the lemon flavour but didn't like the blood orange so much. The Blood Orange tasted like Vitamin C tablets. It was way too sweet for my liking.

But the lemon one was nice and refreshing for a hot day. It tasted like homemade lemonade. Heavenly.

I think I might just be back to try the lemon again but this time with the mango flavour. The mango flavour looked really nice today, but I wanted to try something different today.
