Just a warning be careful in chatrooms online.
Once a friend of mine was caught chatting to an unknown guy and he did stalk her. Thankfully though she went to the police and they caught him off guard.
So where ever you are just be aware of the dangers in a chat room. Never accept any friend requests from strangers.
Always keep your information private not public.
If you are meeting someone for the first time... meet in public and with a friend.
Not by yourself and in a lonely park. If you are meeting with RMIT friends meet on campus rather than in a shop.
And
If you do advertise your language lessons, housing etc online watch out for unsavoury characters offering a lot more than you can bargain for. Best idea is to advertise them on MYRMIT where RMIT students can access it only.
