As a student you can apply for a CAVAL card for free. Here you can take it to other university libraries and borrow their books for free.
You need to do this at your home university and then enroll at other university libraries. From there you can visit as many times as you like and borrow up to about 10 books. You can't borrow any journals, but you can use the computers in the library. And you can photocopy in the library. But you have to buy a library card and pay the printing costs.
If RMIT doesn't have the book you need you can borrow it from another library: free
