week 8

This week at RMIT is a split week, because the RMIT Students get one week of holidays because of Easter and Anzac day, which means one week of extra study for me.
Easter is generally a time of celebration. This is the time where we give out easter eggs to children and those who celebrate Easter. We also like to eat Hot Cross buns. They are buns which contain raisins and they have a white cross on top. On Good Friday no shops are open. On Easter Sunday not many shops are open.
We also observe ANZAC day as a time to reflect on those that had died in World War 1 at Gallipoli. Australia had participated in the wars. There is a dawn service at the Shrine of Rememberance to remember those that had given their lives to fighting in the wars. No shops or businesses are open until about 1pm, as this is a time to remember all those who fought in Gallipoli.
This week I visited the country to see my friend. This will be posted soon.
Stay safe and happy Easter,
Sally
