Medibank is a health insurance company and is one of the biggest ones in Australia. They are supported by RMIT and they have a range of free things for you.
Medibank's OSHC ( Overseas Student Health Cover) is about $1500 for three years and you can claim straightaway on Most extras. In fact there is a Medibank in most suburban areas
With this cover you'll get:
* Cover at most hospitals
* Ambulance cover
* Covered when you visit a doctor or a specialist
At some places you might get in hospital support (its only at their members choice hospitals). But at other places you might have to pay for out of pocket expenses for things like a private room in a hospital, TV, Newspaper etc (see the full list online)
As an OSHC member you will have access to online support services, such as Mi Health.
But you are not covered for contraceptions and fertility treatments. Some surgeries are not covered (see the full list)
