Bay City Burrito

Bay City Burrito is a chain store specialising in burritos. There is one store in Hawthorn and the other is in St Kilda. There is an Entertainment book offer for buy one get one free for a burrito, but I forgot to bring the offer.

The place is open and airy which is what really intrigued me to come.

But the service was really slow and they don't do changes to their specials which is really odd. I was going to have their $16 sampler plate except it only had a chicken burrito and the waitress refused to change it to veg. The plate also includes salsa and chips.

But the complementary chips were good though. They were plain and unflavoured and good for the health.

Jarrito

I had their lunch special of one drink and one burrito for $14.50. Which was not too bad and I had a Guava Jarrito (something different).

The burrito took a good while to come and although it was small ($11) it was moreish. The veggies were a little overcooked but the rice and the beans were lovely. The tortilla was nice and the burrito was nicely bound. I would have loved jalepinos in this as well as onion.

There is also one in Hawthorn as well and they do similar stuff. You can get a buy one get one free voucher for this place if you buy the Entertainment book off us. You can do that here.
Rating: 13/20 good burrito, but very slow service.
