List of doctors near city campus

As part of our Health and Human development series

There is a doctor shortage in Australia. It may take a while to see a docotr in Melbourne and you may need references. It is difficult to get an appointment to see a doctor and get them to spend quality time with you understanding your needs as they are overworked.
Some clinics bulk bill others dont. Others might charge up to $60 per visit.

It is also hard to get Special consideration if the doctor ticks anything but severe in RMIT. So if you have a condition it would be a great idea for them to tick Severe to make sure you get Special Consideration that you need.

When you hand in your Special Consideration form it would be advisable to write a cover letter and ask the doctor to write one for you too if they know you.  The more documentation RMIT has the better the outcome will be. You only have two days after the assesment to hand everything in which is not a lot of time. RMIT rarely accepts late applications.

But there are a few near the city campus such as Medical One and The Swanston st Medical centre. You can also find the list here. You can call the nurse on call 24 hours 7 days a week and it is a free service on 1300 60 60 24.
