some tips to surviving study in Australia

Here are some tips to surviving Australia. You are going to be living here for the next three to four years so you better adjust to life in Aus
1) Learn Australian rules and slang. Like "GDay mate" means "hello friend" etc
2) Don't be shy of talking. Australians love to talk and are not shy of anything. the Aussies love helping newcomers find their way around
3) Volunteer for things- you know you want to.What a great chance to gain experience in the working world. And its a good way to practice your english. Kinfolk are always looking for people. Rusu Student Union are always on the lookout for new students
4) Get involved in events- Melbourne has many and these will be posted here or you can check out that's melbourne site
5) Travel- you're here in Australia to learn about the country so why not travel around Australia. The best time to go would be around the June/ July period when you have your mid semester break. There are plenty of places to see such as Mt Buller, Sydney, Gold coast etc. ISIC usually have a few good travel deals for students and domestic travel is cheap.
6) Love concerts? Then why not go to some. There are some free ones and others you have to pay a price to get in. But there are dos and donts of enjoying a good concert/gig,
