International Education awards

And why it might be worth applying for.

The Victorian Government recognizes the excellency of research etc. Hence the International Education awards. The aim is to challenge and motivate students to work hard and do their country proud.

There are four categories, one for VET, one for English language, one for Higher Education and one for Postgrad. Students are to select one category


What is the prize?
It is a $10,000 scholarship for study related expenses such as your course

Who is it for?
 It is for students studying a bachelor degree and that does well in uni and that lives in Melbourne.

To be eligible students also have to have participated in the wider community. Ie volunteering at the Couch or other things.
The close of the applications is on the 9th of July at 12 noon.

Questions to address (taken from the Victorian International Education site)
1. Provide a short overview of your studies to date.
In answering this question, applicants are encouraged to provide details such as a curriculum vitae (CV), academic transcripts (if available) and any other relevant documents that demonstrate academic and professional achievements.
2. Explain why you feel you should be considered for the student of the year award. Please consider your personal and community achievements.
3. Provide examples of where you believe you have demonstrated attributes that have either, improved the outcomes of your study, enhanced the international student experience, or advanced an aspect of your institutions activities.
