Cake World

Cake World is a cake store. Well actually it is a chain store which specialises in cakes and mainly Asian cakes. They have six stores in Melbourne and the one that I got try was in Preston near the Intercultural centre where I had the second day anti racism workshop.

Located on High st near the Preston Railway station this wasn't hard to get to by train. It is about a one minute walk from there.

The ladies that were there (there were only two at the time
) did not smile nor offer me samples of their latest mooncake which I had been really excited to try. I tried to ask them but they could not understand. Their English was broken.

But it after all it is a self service place. Like Breadtop, you choose your bun and you go and pay at the counter. But this store also does bubble tea.

This is a cash only store.

Since they are in a very small arcade strip there is no bathroom. The bathroom is at the Preston Railway station.

I had my favourite spring onion bread ($1.80) and pandan cake ($1.80)
I loved the pandan chiffon cake ($1.80). It was soft eggy, and very sweet.

However I couldn't say the same for the bread which didn't have much onion but it was sweet. I prefer Breadtops one better as it is more flavoursome.

However I'd be happy to come for just their cakes and not much else. I'd like to check out their seating area as it looked welcoming.
