The Regent café is in Ballarat and its part of the regency Cinema. Patrons can go in and have a quick bite before a show or movie. They do Gold Class service and they have $15-$18 lunches for moviegoers.
The place is clean, warm and inviting.
Their scone was great. Enjoyed the cheese and chive scone was very buttery and creamy and I enjoyed the relish. The relish was homemade and had a nice country touch. It reminded me of London.
I also enjoyed the chocolate with the tea. That was a very nice touch. In Melbourne we don't have this thing with our tea. We would normally have to pay it separately.
The cost of my meal was $7. I was pleasantly surprised as in Melbourne everything is sooo GOD DARN EXPENSIVE. Here Ballarat really cares about their seniors. I'm not old but its good to know that there is someone to look out for you when you are older.
The staff were very friendly but flat out from a gold class session. They have loads of old movies going on.
