RNIS was invited by Craft Cubed on Facebook to attend

Craft Cubed is a two week event which is bigger and better than ever. Craft Cubed is about showcasing some of Melbourne's finest arts to everyone. There is something to please everyone. There was a competition for best artworks and jewellery and about 450 people entered. Only 116 of them were the best and their best works are displayed all over Melbourne.

Most of their exhibitions are free but the workshops and other activities are not.

The event was held in Sofitel's Latrobe ballroom and there were some delightful canapes and breads on offer. The chickpea dip was a favourite of everyone. That and the free flowing wines. Also the Turkish bread was a delight and it was very garlicky. The mini pies were also another favourite.

Everyone mingled over the wine and free food.

Highpoint Launches its new food court

Highpoint has a new food court and they had a launch event a few weeks back. We relive to tell the story

Highpoint lauunched its new food court and to celebrate there were some fun times ahead and people won stuff. There were samples to go around from Dumplings Plus. Roti Road had not opened yet and neither did Saigon square.

They are at the other end to the cinema and near JB Hi-Fi.

The Kopitiam was also fun. I enjoyed the traditional Malaysian drinks of Iced Lemon tea and Milo dinasaur. This Milo dinosaur was not sweet but the Iced tea was really sweet.

It was here that I enjoyed Sushi roulette a game for the wasabi lovers and I am a huge fan. Here the wheel is turned and there is one sushi piece with lots of wasabi. The person who gets it and eats it will win. This time it was a ten dollar voucher for anywhere in the store.


I also enjoyed watching the whacking game and sumo wrestling game. In the end they won a $20 gifit voucher for Ajisen Ramen.

I had Dumplings plus's custard bun for $2.20. Here it was very filling and fingerlickly good compared to the one upstairs.

So do go there for your Asian meals before the movie and the Korean Chicken Nene looked really good but I wanted to wait until I have tried the one in the city first and then compare.
