This market is a farmers Market that comes every 2 and 4th Saturday of the month and this is no exception. Whilst some of the residents were out seeing the horses on Derby Day we went to the market just wanting to see what it was all about.
This market is smaller than the ones in the city. But it is still quite good to have lunch in the sunshine and taste all the samples that the market brings.

But we didn't walk away empty handed. We came home with a bag full of almonds from a huge stall that sells nuts, dried fruits and other spices and goods. There was a stall selling $5 fruit but these would be too heavy to carry home on the train.
And then there were the lovely plants. Of course if the lovely plants were in Melbourne we'd go. But they weren't and they would have been hard to export them on the train to Melbourne. We'd make a mess of it all.
There was a healthy Lebanese stall doing some sort of stuffed bread. We wanted some but we had no appetite to try some. Plus we didn't want to ruin it for the Family Hawker Market.
Robinvale estate was there too and they are at every market so I thought that I would wait until I see them in Melbourne to buy the olive oils off them. We'd break them on the way home on the train.
Do come by this farmers market outside Central Square if you are visiting Ballarat.
