Located at 673 Bourke st, this place is a suitable place to study. Here you'll find that it is open and quiet.
It is in an old building next to Kinfolk and it had that friendly vibe about it.
The place has a community feeling and everyone is encouraged to share. Here you'll have a desk to work in as well as the Internet if you have membership.
They are environmentally friendly and there is lots of greenery.
There are a few meeting spaces in where you can hold your group meetings. At uni you will have a lot of groupwork to do throughout your course. This is one great place to have your meetings in.
Visitors (clients) are welcome.
I was invited at the League of Extraordinary Women's conference to visit at one of their Open days. Here everyone is really friendly towards one another.
On Thursdays to enhance that community feeling there is free lunch at 12:30pm. It is usually to a theme though. The time that I went it was Indian with a bit of salad and salami. Next time it will be Spanish tapas and wine. Everyone is encouraged to bring something along to the table. If you don't a gold coin is always appreciative.
Everyone sits around a big table and just introduce themselves and talk amongst themselves.
But nothing comes for free. Memberships start from $220 per month- $700 per month. You can elect to pay by direct debit or your company can pay for you to work there. You have to pay it online. Membership includes Internet, a computer to work in, free printing, free lunches, discounted events etc.
Open day is on Thursdays and Fridays and you can book it here.
A great place for students to work if they want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the University library. But you must be able to afford it.
