Eureka Skydeck

I got the free pass from Discovery Melbourne in which I helped to pack showbags. They organize visits to Skydeck hence this is a sponsored post.

As one of the goals of the The Game, this is part of the game.

The place is right behind the Ludlow bar, but you can see it from inside the train as the train passes through Flinders st to Southern Cross station. It is a stones throw away from Flinders st

Normally it is $18.50 for an adult and $14 for a student. And its $12 for the EDGE pass which a 360 degree view of Melbourne and the skyline. In this you'll have to conquer your fear of heights as you'll be standing on glass. But fear not the staff are there to help you.

I was so nervous as I was afraid of heights. My stomach was in knots. But this wasn't so bad as I got used to this. When you come to Melbourne you'll have to learn all sorts of new things and even conquerring your fears. The people in the Amazing Race can do it, so can anyone. If I can do it, so can you.

The views were breathtaking up at the 88th floor. Here you can see everything that the city has to offer and on a nice sunny day even better. There is a balcony where you can go out.

The EDGE is very popular with waits of up to 30-45 mins for the lift. At level 88 you have to grab a buzzer and when the lift is ready you go in. But before you do there are these socks that you have to wear to protect the glass. And no stilettos allowed. We couldn't take photos whilst inside the lift as no electronics are allowed. But they take photos for you if you want and you pay for them at the shop.

I bought Calypso ice cream from the Cafe. It being a warm day I thought why not as it wasn't all that expensive. Turns out it was three bucks for that.

Many thanks to the staff at Student Uni Travels for organizing this and I would love to come again with one of the new International students. Maybe you guys could organize a night time visit for this as it would be fun and they are opened until 10pm. Students do go check this out during your time in Melbourne. You can buy tickets here.
