ENA Greek street food

ENA Greek Street Food had recently popped up in Southbank and I was dying to try it. But never got around to it.

Here it is run by this lovely vivacious owner who is Greek. I was not invited to attend but I noticed his mood. The place is open and spacious and I love the fact that they have an open kitchen. It is in Southbank shopping centre on the same level as Hophaus.

All of the waiters are very friendly.

Here I had the gyros platter ($18 to feed one person) which is reasonable for the price. Here it included you choice of chicken, beef or falafel. I chose chicken seeing as I can smell the charcoal chicken from the open kitchen.

There wasn't much in terms of the chips but they made up for it in terms of the pita bread which was lovely and doughy. Pita bread is a staple in any Greek diet. They also had lots of salad which is good but not a lot of feta and too many olives.

I loved the tzakiki but I think it is better on its own plate. Most of it got mixed in with the chicken and the salad and melted a bit.

The chicken was good but stone cold. It probably had been out for a little longer.

Rating: 16/20- good Greek comfort food. Yum
