The Unicorn cafe

The Unicorn Café is in Ballarat and is participating in the Foto Biennale. Here the Unicorn café is small and homely and its the ideal spot for uni students who are studying in Federation uni nearby.

They did smell like a gingerbread, baking house the moment that I walked in. All the lovely spices and aromas filled the air. I was after one thing though and that was tea and maybe a cake or two since that is what Ballarat does best in as well as the boiled sweets. I wouldn't mind taking home one of these one day and sending it to China.

The gentleman that served me was lovely and so was the lady. Now why can't people be like that in Melbourne?

The tea was good. It was a loose leaf dragon green tea which was pretty strong. Priced at $5 this was pretty good. The ladies at the next table ordered some lovely looking cakes. Now these change from day to day. Today it was a poppyseed cake and a cheesecake.

The raspberry biscuit priced at $3 was also good. But at $3 it was a tad bit expensive. I can taste the coconut in there which was nicer and a lot less sweeter than your average white sugar.

I love this homely touch as they love to take care of their customers
Now I love this homely place and I would recommend it to tourists and students alike. Please visit Ballarat when you can.
