Kin Vietnamese

RNIS was invited by the owner to try many of their tapas dishes.
As part of Bupa's best blog competition for 2015

Kin is a contemporary Vietnamese restaurant which is more like a bar. It is in Prahran near Greville st and not far from the train station.

It was 12pm on Saturday and the place was dead quiet. But says a worker, "it gets busier later in the afternoon and at night". At 1pm a family of four came in and ordered pho. Which by the way I have to say it is really good. And they offer cup (smaller sizes) for people.  The broth was very meaty and sweet. But fingerlickingly good.

Other things that I have had are the ceviche (in which the beef is cooked in the raw egg), grilled pork skewers (which tasted like sausage), rice paper rolls, tofu salad and vegetarian spring rolls. I really enjoyed the rice paper rolls. They were very fresh. But what would be even more fun is to have a roll it yourself dish for diners just like Baget.

The tofu salad was equally just as good where all the vegetables were fresh and I enjoyed the dressing. Normally with dressings they are very heavy but this one is light and tangy.

The pork on the skewer was tender. When people see this they think that it is raw pork, but in fact it is cooked. And it is fun to eat, just like a sausage. Or candy when holding it.

The spring rolls too were fingerlickly good and not too oily. And it is easy to eat it with the lettuce. Yum.

Rating: 18/20- really enjoyed the meal and most of the food would work well with a glass of wine. Do check out Kin for yourself.
Many thanks to Kin for the invite
