Cafe Scarvelli

As part of Bupa's best blog competition for 2015
RNIS was invited to this place and did not have to pay

Cafe Scarvelli is in Balwyn next to a new Goodlife gym. These gyms always seem to be popping up and then next to it is a health food store selling a lot of food which uses the vegetables and herbs from their garden. That is Cafe Scarvelli.

The little cute jars in the bathroom

Cafe Scarvelli is very homely inside and outside in their courtyard. The owner is Clare Voitin. Carlos (marketing manager)was really lovely and said that the cafe was always busy on the weekend. The other staff members were just as nice.

Also for a mid week lunch it was not that busy with many people having coffees. Their beans are from Industry beans.

But neverless the veggie bowl ($18) that I had was really good. It had haloumi (cheese), pumpkin, quinoa and loads of veggies. The chips were equally as good. I really liked the citrus dressing which was light and playful.

The watermelon juice (normally $6.50) with lemon, ginger and carrot was good. The ginger helps to ease menstrual pain and watermelon is good for vitamin c.

I got some biscuits to take home. These are homemade ones and they were really lovely to have with my morning coffee.

Rating: 18/20- do come by for a visit if you are in the area. The owner is always happy to help you.
