Many International students face the difficulty of a long distance relationship. But some also have relationships in Australia. We explain how to survive the painful process.
Breaking up a relationship is a painful process for most people. Most students find it hard to get back into the rhythm of things after a break up.
So you have just broken up. But how do you deal with it in the coming weeks?
Everybody is different, but the one rule that I have learnt is to talk to people. Talk to your family to left them know how you are feeling. Do also talk to your friends. Organize a few girly days to do stuff so that you forget him. Also do join a gym or too to exercise and just have fun.
If the relationship woes are really bad, visit the Counseling service at University or your local counselor.
For the first few days chocolate and comfort foods and tears are fine but after that you need to move on. Get a new hobby or even just do your assignments and focus on getting that A+ you deserve
Don't call, email, text the other person. Give them and yourself time to heal. Throw the other person's details away. Don't even offer to be friends.
Think about this: is the break up worth it? Or were you better off without them? There's always someone else out there better for you. Or you could be happy being single. Being single is a lot more fun.
