As part of RNIS Healthy Living month
The Grand Opening was held on Saturday with a lot of people coming on Sunday to view the wares. There were a lot of noisy children which I really hated. Even at 10:30am in the morning there were a few kids that got in the way.
The Batman market is big and its right outside Batman station. It is open every weekend from 9am-3pm each day and its free entry.
We greeted by balloons advertising the upcoming election and the Liberal and Labor party. We declined them. It really was not a necessity of the market. Pls keep it aside as many International students also visited that weekend. They cannot vote in elections and don't know about the liberal and labor party.
And samples which we enjoyed. There are 30+ food stalls at the market, all which sell foods from different countries such as empandas, corn, dumplings, boreks etc. There are also fresh foods from Brasserie bread, fruit and veg stalls, a nut stall, food trucks etc.
In fact I took a bread roll home and had that for lunch with a salad. The bread was freshly made and it had that chewiness to it which I loved.
Ayomo had their juice stall which is fresh and healthy. Oh and that does remind me that a trip is needed to Ayomo's South Melbourne store.
Students do visit this market on Saturdays and Sundays. It is outside Batman station and its open from 9am-3pm. A lot of food trucks do visit this market.
