CISA is the peak International student body of Australia. Last year I met up with Thomson Ching the president in one of Melbourne City Council's meetings.
The group started in 2010 and ever since it has been going strong
Last yeaar they won an award for Excellence in Professional Commentary by the Australian International Education association. They also did the "I have an Australian story" campaign encouraging students to tell their story about Australia good and bad.
Not only do they write they also advocate for International students such as the Glad Cleaning group. They were very strong in that campaign. Another one is the concession cards.
Each they run conferences to assist International students in various States. One of the biggest campaigns is housing and how they can assist International students with providing better and more affordable housing.
CISA also has various media releases on the different issues.
