Discovery cafe

Discovery cafe is a cheap eat and for volunteering with Student Uni travels I got a free meal hence this is a sponsored post.

The cafe is inside the Discovery hostel and right near the Vic Market. Anyone can go there

The place opens at 12:30pm for lunch.

The place seems understaffed though but that can be fixed quite easily seeing as a lot of students are looking for work.

For drinks I had the Cascade Lemon, Lime and Bitters ($3.70). I thought it was alcoholic since it was place right near the alcohol. But it was not. It was bitter but not so bitter that I couldn't taste the lemon.

I had the pasta ($10.90) which was drowned in so much sauce that it was hard to distinguish the flavours. But other than that it was filling. I had a hard time finishing this and my Cascade. I could taste the tomatoes and they were sweet, but not sickly sweet. The pasta was aldente (just perfectly cooked). Unlike G2 the meal was served hot.

I'd probably come back for their cheap and filling meals seeing as this place is close to my office. Its a shame that this place hasn't been discovered sooner. Thanks to Discovery Melbourne for the invite
