As part of our "At Home and Abroad" Culture series
Run by Mission foods and supported by the City of Melbourne
Mexican Independence day is on the 15th of September. In Melbourne this is celebrated at Federation Square.
Last year about 25000 people came. But this year it is set to be even bigger with lots of stalls such as Mad Mex and the like
Here you can sample many traditional Mexican foods such as Tacos and Burritos as well as enjoy some Mexican drinks.
There is heaps of fun to be had there. There is a pinata workshop for the kids as well as lots of performances.
Viva La Mexican! Do check out this free event on Sunday at 10am-6pm. For more information check out their Facebook page
