Commune is a Art Market run by RMIT Link Arts and it is in its third year. Here local artists submit their works to be sold.

Last years event was said to be a success. But this year it is set to be even bigger with all of these events:

 10 – 11am: A Modern Design Education (Forum)
11:30-12:30pm: The New Design Frontier: Digital (Forum)
11-4pm: RMIT Makers Market
5-7pm: The Clothing Exchange & drinks

Public Repair Workshop Program:
12-3pm: Push-bike maintenance workshop
3-5pm: Mending is Easy

Free Student Workshops:
1-4pm: Digital Printing: Exploring the possibilities with Frankie and Swiss
1-3pm Floral Drawing and Ink Workshop with Jacqui Baxter
1-3pm: Recycled fashion workshop with Ellie Mucke
3-5pm: 3D Paper Craft with Magdalena Ksiezak

As we embrace digital technologies for everything from doing our banking to printing our food, how is digital media is changing the way we create, consume and engage with design?

Part of Commune at Craft Cubed, a day celebrating all things local, hand-made and sustainable. Program includes hands-on workshops, RMIT Makers Market and The Clothing Exchange.

CRAFT CUBED 2013 | SATELLITE PROGRAM: 1-31 August
Craft Cubed is Craft Victoria’s annual festival of experimental, skilled and ideas-based craft and design. The festival will feature exhibitions, open studios and workshops, as well as professional development sessions.

Presented by RMIT Link, RMIT School of Fashion & Textiles and market partner, RUSU.


It is a one day event.
