Networking drinks at Workshop bar

I was invited to a Networking event by the RMIT International students association. This group is made up of mainly students doing International studies at RMIT, but others can join as well. This is their first event of the year and it was held at the Workshop bar. It was at 4.30pm on a Thursday afternoon.

The RMIT International students association organizes events and meets during the year and you can also talk about careers.

Networking is a great way to get to know people from outside of your classes.

The Workshop bar was hard to find as it was up some stairs. There was no sign of the entrance.

The music was just a tad too loud, but otherwise it is perfect.

There is hardly any service. You go up to the counter and you order and pay. And then you get a table number.

As this is an open bar and this was a very hot and sticky day there was no air conditioning and we were very sweaty.

By 5pm it was very busy with all the uni students just for that one group.

Here they have $2.50 student drinks on Thursday, but not much food

The pizza was really good- I loved the polenta base, but found it really hard to eat the rocket without a fork or a knife. It was $6.50 by the way.

Many thanks to RMIT International studies Associaiton for putting this on. You can find them on Facebook and befriend them to keep up with their events.
