Story in a cup is a place in South Yarra. It is hidden in a laneway behind buildings and construction work. It is about a minutes walk from South Yarra station in Yarra st.
Here it is manned by one lonely guy but he was nice enough to show me around. It had been opened for a year by a Malaysian guy and his wife. It was crowned one of the best yoghurt places in Melbourne.
It was quiet when I came which was 12.30. Everyone was having lunch in the nearby restaurants, but the guy said that he had been quite busy.
This place has lot more variety of ice creams than Tutti frutti and other places. It is a self serve place, but the guy happily showed me how to do it. The price is calculated by weight. I only went for a small one and a few toppings since I just had lunch. And unlike other places they actually have seating. The ambiance is child like and really cute.
They also have ice creams in a cone, teas and smoothies, but I was only here for their yoghurt which is highly rated in Melbourne.
They have heaps of fun toppings and marshmallows unlike Tutti Frutti and they are cheaper than Tutti Frutti. I paid $5.38 for 4 or 5 toppings and premium Vanilla yoghurt. Some of the profits from the products sold goes to charity, hence the name" Story in A cup". They had a french cookies and cream flavour but I just didn't feel like it.
Loved that they used a lot of good fruits and not many frozen fruits.
Overall come here for the fun and good yoghurt. Its a good place to come and study and not too far from the city. Id like to see what Big Fil thinks of the place seeing as its near where he lives.
