John Friedas Anti Frizz serrum

A few months ago I have bought a magazine and it came with a John Frieda sample. Today I was really keen to try this out.
This is normally available in supermarkets and Priceline (I think it is about $11 for the full product)

This really worked on my hair. My hair is normally frizzy so with this you only rub a small sample of this into your hair.

At the end of the day my hair was nice and soft.

This is great for winter when your hair becomes frizzy.

International students deserve better pay

Especially cleaners, when a cleaning company goes bankrupt. Swan services is a cleaning company and they have gone bankrupt. Thousands of International students are owed wages.

All the local students get paid their entitlements but Internationals do not. They pay taxes just like everyone else.

One student I know worked for Swan Cleaning services. She said that she gets paid around $15 an hour of back breaking work. When the company went bankrupt she lost her job and everything. Her parents left her no money so she had to work without breaks. By breaks I mean holiday and study breaks. This affected her results severely. She was worried about her finances and whether or not she can meet the tuition and living costs. She had to get a loan from the bank back home.

The Peru couple as mentioned in the Age had a similar problem where they were not paid for one and a half weeks before the closure of this cleaning company. They struggled to afford the rent and other things.

There is a petition going about this asking for our Federal government to make the laws fairer so that Internationals can also claim their entitlements just like the locals. Not paying the International students their entitlements after the company goes bankrupt is unfair and unaustralian to everyone.

Marc Jacobs Daisy

Daisy is a perfume by Marc Jacobs.

This one costs about $50-$100 retail price. You can find this one just about anywhere that sells good perfume such as Myer and David Jones.


I recently got sent this perfume some time ago by a friend of mine and haven't had a chance to try it so here it goes:
It has a top note of being floral and fruity and the bottom note of smelling like a daisy. It smells like an expensive extravagant perfume to wear on a nice date.

When I wear it I think of flowers and being feminine.

It is sold everywhere especially at Myer and David Jones. Buy yours now.

Tarng by Katherine

Last night I went to Tarng for dinner. It is across the road from the RMIT SAB building where a demo was being held. Intermission was about 30 mins long and there was a huge line for food. The room where my seminar was held and the food was served was very crowded.

Hence I went across the road to Tarng. The place was really small and very cramped and crowded. It was here that I had to wait for about five to ten minutes for a table.

There are no bathrooms here. Bathrooms are across the road at SAB.

It was a busy Friday night with a lot of Asian students which was a good sign.

They do take away but not for the hot stone bibimbab

The wait staff's English was so bad. She could hardly understand what I was saying. The service on the other hand was fast

I had the Vegetarian bibimbab ($14.20 but it was a decent size). Like one reviewer said the rice was really dry but the rest was good. I really loved the tofu and the veg. I just wished that there was more of this and a miso soup to go with it.

When I added the garlic sauce to it, it was nice and garlicky. Luckily the next day is a Saturday and I don't have to work. I didn't mind that I had garlic breath or that I smelt of BBQ afterwards.

I think she forgot the complimentary condiments so I had to ask her for those.

They also forgot my tea, but at least I wasn't charged for this.

One day I'll have to take Sally here when it is not so busy and for lunch as dinner can be quite pricey. Lunch is about $10 with the pancake being $9.
Go here if you love the food, but don't mind the lacklustre service.

Fritz gelato in South Melbourne by Katherine

Fritz gelato has been around for a long time. I have been to the one in south Melbourne a few times but have not written up anything about the place.

They are known for their award wining gelato. Numerous reviews have been written about them.

I got the chance when I purchased a Groupon for $5 entitling me to spend $10. And $10 I did.

Like the other place in Prahran they have many flavours to choose from. And they also don't have much seating but you can sit in the food court.

I bought a short black and donut deal (normally $4) and two flavours for $5.50. They have a flavour of the month each month and this month it is coffee. I had that and the very vanilla flavour.

The Indian guy that served me was lovely.

The donut when it came was a tad bit small. seeing some of the other Groupon complaints online for other restaurants I thought that I was the only one that had smaller servings.

But apparently not. The couple that sat next to me also had a small donut.

I could taste the fruitiness in the coffee. It also tasted a tad bit strong. The beans are from Di Bella.

I really did like the ice cream.  The coffee flavour was really strong and this was the best vanilla ice I have ever had.

Students I recommend if you do have time and this Groupon deal comes again do purchase it and do give them a try.

I shall be back again in the summer.
