Mr Cyclo

Mr Cyclo is a Vietnamese place in South Melbourne in the shopping mall. They are small and were very quiet for a Wednesday night. It was after the dismal Yelp party in which too many people turned up to a tiny art gallery called Smartzart. That is the food porn party in which there were a lot of photos and very long lines for food.

The guy at the counter was very friendly giving me a minute to decide on the food. Normally I decide to go outside but I wanted to go inside.

I tried their vegetarian rice paper roll ($3.50). It was huge and filled me up. But it a little bit dry from sitting outside for a while. The chicken with dry noodle meal ($11.90) was a bit small. I expected bigger. The chicken had not enough meat and too much bone. Also it was not cut properly. I loved the crispiness though of it.

The dry noodle was good with all the fried onions and the kecap manis. When I think of kecap manis I think of MiGoreng and this is what that was.

I saw that another table had ordered pho and didn't finish theirs. I think that they did not like it as there was a lot of noodles in there.

Rating: 11/20- it will pass. Surely.

If I do come back I would love to try the pho.
