Leaving Melbourne was the hardest thing I have ever done.

Leaving Melbourne was the hardest thing I have ever done.

To that date I had to leave behind all my Aussie friends and memories.Memories of me buying a $3 borek at the Market. I also remembered the $1.10 jam donuts at the market.

I had many fond memories of trying different foods for the first time such as pea and ham soup, French crepes, coffee, mochas etc.

The people here were very friendly, kind and open hearted. In my first year I was in a homestay where the family was very friendly towards me. To this day we are still friends.

I also missed my uni friends.

I missed some of the nice parks and beaches here.

I miss the unique and relaxed lifestyle in Australia. In Asia we are always working never relaxing. And if we are, we are usually drinking. In Hong Kong there is a lot of crime at night. In Melbourne not so.

I missed having holidays. In Hong Kong we never had holidays. It was work non stop.

The air in Melbourne is cleaner; in Hong Kong not so.

Two months after I came back I got used to the place and my family. But I lost all of my old friends and had to make some new ones. To this day I am still very lonely and eager for Melbourne.
